Stanwn’s is as close as it gets to a good southern homemade breakfast. Super simple and always hits the spot. I had the Hungry Man plate, it was delicious from start to finish…and I wrapped it up with their famous strawberry pie. Can’t go wrong here, the food and service is great.

The hype is real! Such a nice family friendly atmosphere. The service is superior, the staff really takes care of you. The burger, fries, and coconut pie were all great; can't wait to come back and try the strawberry pie! We definitely want to try the daily lunch specials next time as well. This is what you call comfort food!
It's been a long time since Ive eaten here but the atmosphere is just as comfortable and welcoming as ever - everyone's in a good mood and enjoying the company of the people they're with. But it's also somewhere you can confidently eat solo and have as much or little conversation with those around you as you like. The food was awesome and well priced and I'll definitely be returning.
Picked this place for breakfast as we were passing through Shreveport on our way to Hot Springs & it did NOT disappoint!! Rainey was our waitress & we haven’t had a waitress that good in a very long time!! She has a great personality & made our first experience worth it!! The strawberry ice box pie was 5 ⭐️!! As you can tell in the photo, we wasted no time in cleaning the plate. Quick service, great atmosphere & delicious food! Thanks Rainey & Strawns!!
Strawn's was busy and I was from out of town and just needed a quick to go order. I walked up to the checkout and they were able to take my order and before I had a chance to really look around it was already ready. The Fried Chicken special for the day was excellent and the chicken fried steak had an excellent flavor but was a perfectly round steak which was not appetizing to look at. The house dressing on the salad was very good. The strawberry pie was very good as well but some of the strawberries still had green on top. Overall, I will definitely be back.
This cute diner was recommended to me and it did not disappoint! The service was great and the pie was AMAZING!! We will definitely be going back when we visit Shreveport again.
We came in as they were closing and they came outside and said they would take us anyways! I ended up eating the most mouth watering grilled mushroom burger I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection. And to top it off-the BEST strawberry pie I have ever tasted. The staff was so welcoming and kind, it felt like we were surrounded by family. This establishment is set apart from any other diner I have been to. What a treasure to have in the heart of Shreveport. Thank you Karen and the rest of the staff for loving us with your delectable food. We are going again tomorrow.
A YUMMY & classic location 🤩 we loved the service, the portions & the taste on everything. I ordered the (2) eggs with hash browns (which are more like home fries to me) and bacon. My husband ordered the same thing but with grits instead. Delicious!!
A daggone national treasure!!! Protect this place and its people At All Costs. The food caresses the soul! They laid down making those pies!!!! Somebody better recognize this … best hometown, welcoming, comforting, and nostalgic eating and diner experience in the Tri state area. Legendary. Makes me wanna hug my elders and slow my pace.
